Mediocre Work

I’ll know when I do a shitty job. Or occasionally, I’ll throw a kiss at my laptop when I exceed my expectations.

Whenever I put my fingers on these keys, I don’t know what the end result is going to be like. Sure, I begin with a clear intention, but I don’t control the reaction of the person sitting at the other end of the screen.

Sometimes I write nice-enough-stuff that I assumed I couldn’t create. On other days when I lack my mojo, I feel like I’m needlessly occupying pixels on the internet.

And I’m trying to decrease the frequency of mediocre work, by creating more recently. Instead of getting entangled in whatever I’m doing, I must do show up again, and then again.

… until I’m close to feeling that good work doesn’t happen by chance but with consistent and sincere effort.
