Bad Stuff That Does … Good

Defeats and losses, rejections and closed doors, setbacks and pitfalls – all of them feel temporarily bad.

You might not want to talk about them and hide your face in shame. You may feel unworthy of kindness when you fail to meet your expectations.

It’s embarrassing to admit what you’re going through. And it’s not always important to talk about all that either.

But gradually, you realize that your troubles have been worth it. When you’re out of it, it makes sense and it seems funny.

I can recall stuff that I wanted but didn’t get. I can think of moments that caused despair. At some point in time, my world circled around them.

Then I moved on.

Only to find more to be grateful about.
